Hi all

 

Class will be running on Thursday afternoon, Thursday Evening & Saturday, classes run for a half hour. We have a selection of levels starting with new puppy from 8 Weeks with firt injectioup to senior advanced level. All classes are run from the TRAINING CENTRE VENUE at present Hamilton is no longer available. 

 

Classes on offer

PUPPY:

Myself and possible some members will offer you a display of training and what you can hope to acheive. I will talk to you about begining your training with your dog. I will cover the basic content of a training class and you will learn how to place your dog in positions safely and begin to build a connection with your puppy. As yu move up levels we will continue to progress the exercise to become more focused in your work you will learn to positivley reinforce the behaviour you are looking for in your dog and work your dog at distance.

During holiday periods we offer taster sessions to new members. If you decide to continue onto the block classes in March your membership will reduce the cost of your classes.

We have various sessions on offer at the training centre

from basic obediance to play social and fun agility. we alos offer dog management sessions covering health, exercise, K9 first aid and feeding. 

 

Annual Membership to club is £30 discount offered for second dog from same household. The classes are charged in blocks and your place is secured by deposit and paid in full when trainign starts. Your membership provides a substantial reduction to the classes booked in blocks as well as adhoc fun sessions

We are now taking bookings for training classes at our new training centre for agility, behaviour conditioning and socialisation (play) classes.

 

Classes & Puppy Play Groups (from 8 weeks / first injection)

Playgroup is social and awareness training for puppies from 8-14 weeks introducing them to all sorts of experiences to help them develop into happy health well-balanced dogs.

 

Puppy training is very basic training to helps establish a strong bond between dog and owner before progressing onto further levels and variety of training sessions. request info.

 

One on one sessions

1-1 session usually last around 2-3 hours so I can carry out a full analysis of your dog from from food , exercise and behaviour and also of how you interact and train your dog at present. This allows me to get a good picture of the situation and issues you are facing.

 

These sessions vary in cost depending on location and issues the first session is an assessment and training session. Thereafter, if required we guide you either into a class or continue with 1-1 training until you are confident in your abilities as a handler. The follow up 1-1's vary in length and price but the most commonly are half hour sessions. These would be carried out at my training centre or in your local park and there would obviously be assistant dog and handler there to allow us to set up training scenarios to resolve your specific issues if required.

 

Other Classes

We will also be offering Fun Agility Sessions once the training centre is up and running and are taking enquiries now for future classes.

 

We will also be offering an array of classes running throughout the day to accommodate our busy lifestyles as its not always possible to get to an evening or weekend class.

 

We also aim to provide Counter Conditioning for dogs with issues with inanimate objects including vacuums, hair dryers and coffee grinders as well as dogs who have issues with prams, bikes and hi-visibility clothing.

My dog training classes, based in Lanarkshire, cater for all breeds, ages & abilities from puppies through to older dogs.

 

We aim to teach fundamental obedience and manners, as well as encouraging socialisation and fun; for both dogs and their owners! if you have the commitment to training your dog we have the techniques to pass on.

 

Puppy classes are limited to 6 dogs per class, to allow me to give you and your dog the individual attention you require to provide a good foundation for training. When you rise to pre-beginners, beginners, Intermediate and advanced classes these have a maximum of 8 dogs per class to allow you and your dog to learn to work in a slightly more challenging environment, whilst ensuring safety at all times.

 

As your dog progresses through the different levels, you will learn key skills including "sit, down and stay", heel work and recalls. Basic agility is offered in our fun sessions to build a strong bond and encourage your dog to focus on you and learn in a fun energetic environment.

 

Our classes are relaxed and informal and we aim to help you and your dog bond and learn how to live & work together in harmony.
